When To Look & When To Book
Believe it or not, a year or 18 months is pretty standard for booking bands and DJs. Remember that the good ones are also being booked in advance not only for weddings, but for anniversaries, birthdays and corporate events. Top DJ's and bands are booked a year and a half to 2 years in advance. If you know your date, look now. If you know your date and location, look and book! It's much easier when you have an 18 month advance time, especially if you plan to be married during a busy holiday like the Christmas season, Valentine's Day, or in June, one of the busiest months for weddings.
But not everyone can possibly book that far in advance. You might be getting married in 4 months, or less. It's still possible that the musicians or DJs of your choice, and others of the highest caliber just might have an opening on your day. But there's no time to waste.
